Discipleship

Find a Discipleship Track

A Guiding principle for Christ followers across the globe is Jesus’ great commission: Make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.’ And teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” Matt 28:19-20.

While preaching, teaching and Christ-like love in a myriad of ways all contribute to drawing persons to follow Jesus Christ. Monroe First offers a Discipling Track: an intentional track for believers who feel called to go deeper in their walk with Christ and to share their faith with others. Studies have shown that micro groups – 3-4 men or women accompanied by a trained discipler / facilitator have proven highly effective in helping participants grow deeper in love with Jesus and His Word, seek to allow the Holy Spirit to grow his character within and teach them how to help others do the same.

Micro group members commit to 3 years of once-a-week meetings, August to May. They covenant to regular attendance, accountability, confidentiality within the group, and intentional discipling of new micro groups as God leads.

If you feel called to pursue the discipling track, contact Pastor John Purrington, Pastor Wes Sorrells, or Pastor Christy Greenwald.
